**Role Overview**

**We are looking for**:
As a **Climate Leader**, you will design policies, propose trajectories, challenge performance, and provide specific Sustainable Development-related expertise to GBU/Functions such as methodologies, associations & scientific bodies, international standards and benchmarks, and regulations (scope 1, 2 & 3).
**We count on you for**:
Strategy
- Propose the climate ambition for scopes 1-2 and scope 3 upstream for the organization: targets, strategy, key resources
- Challenge performance vs. targets, in liaison with Industrial
- Provide climate-related recommendations on key projects (Capex, R&I...)
- Lead on climate-related risks and opportunities assessment through scenario analysis (business transition, physical) to feed into ECo' and GBUs' strategy

Incubation
- Manage an initial program of actions across GBUs and BSAs to kickstart reducing scope 3 upstream

Reporting
- Design policy and lead on product carbon footprint determination across all Business Units
- Oversee reporting of corporate climate performance (scope 1, 2, 3) and evolution of climate reporting standards
- Participate in climate-related reporting and rating (TCFD, CDP)

Climate Guru
- Be the person of reference for climate science, climate policy knowledge globally, and emerging trends on climate with business / NGOs / governments
- Represent Solvay in related fora and associations
- Participate in Solvay's climate-related communications
- Act as a ward of the temple against the risk of greenwashing controversy

Network
- Animate on climate in the Sustainability network encompassing business units and support functions

**You will bring**:

- Engineering degree
- Previous experience in Sustainability
- Prior business experience is a plus
- Project management skills
- Strong networking, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and bridge different worlds (policymakers, NGOs, research institutes, business...)
- Insightful approach, eagerness to trigger transformations, and result-oriented with the ability to lead functional teams and manage change effectively,
- Business acumen, sustainability mindset, rigorous with strong work ethic
- Self-motivation and a collaborative, professional team spirit
- Excellent oral and written communications ability, synthesis skills
- Fluency in English
- Autonomy, collaboration, being a team player and Customer-oriented
- Change & transformation leadership, resilience
- Rigour (reporting, Guru)
