ALICE’s vision is to achieve an affordable **transition towards zero emissions logistics** contributing to climate change objectives. To that end, logistics, from global to urban, need to evolve. Assets and resources, including transportation means, need to be better utilized. By creating seamlessly interconnected logistics networks through the **Physical Internet (PI)**,** better conditions for affordability of zero emissions solutions will be created through improved asset sharing and efficiency, contributing also to improved agility and resilience of supply chains.

ALICE supports, assists, and advises the European Commission[2] in the definition and implementation of the EU Horizon Europe Program for research in the area of logistics.

ALICE is a small but growing organization with 3 full-time employees and supported by in-house consultants in specific facets as well as by its highly motivated members and partners, in particular by the **Executive Group**.

For its Brussels-based secretariat, ALICE is looking for a **Programme Manager** who will be employed on a full-time (long-term) contract. The Programme Manager will lead and manage a growing portfolio of projects within the **corridors, hubs and Synchromodality thematic group of ALICE** with a focus on ports, logistics hubs, multimodal transportation including inland waterways. The Programme Manager will liaise with the thematic group leadership team to define and implement the Thematic Group work plan aiming at generating value for ALICE members and the whole European innovation ecosystem.

**The main tasks associated with this position will involve**:

- Manage and lead ALICE participation in Horizon Europe R&I projects liaising with project partners, ALICE members and colleagues to deliver high quality and impact results
- Support and contribute to future Horizon Europe R&I projects proposal preparation.
- Coordinate reference groups of logistics companies including shippers, manufacturers, retailers, logistics service providers, ports, hubs, etc. regarding user need requirements, results, validation and transferability, including the identification of deployment opportunities of innovative solutions.
- Develop and maintain the relation and interaction with the growing portfolio of **R&I projects liaised with ALICE** linked to this programme. Identify main results and potential outcomes from liaised projects contributing to ALICE Roadmaps Implementation and identifying those results with a higher industry adoption potential and communicate them to ALICE members in an actionable and customized form.
- Identify synergies across relevant projects and define an overall program building on the individual projects’ plans (e.g., organization of common events, coordination of the participation in external conferences such as the Transport Research Arena and International Physical Internet Conference)
- Strengthen the **ALICE Knowledge Platform** within this theme by identifying and creating contents that are appealing for the 1100+ users, in particular, ALICE members building on the programme of liaison with projects.
- Define and implement the **ALICE Corridors, Hubs and Synchromodality Thematic Group** work plan creating links and value for ALICE members, smartly integrating the R&I projects results and outcomes in the overall plan creating and holistic and structured knowledge base that is accessible and reflecting ALICE members interests.
- Lead the organization of teleconferences / project meetings / workshops / webinars, conferences sessions and other events online and in person events.

- Very good analytical and writing skills, able to hear and learn from others quickly and with strong empathy skills
- A strong ability to work under pressure and on a wide range of activities in parallel including administrative activities but also interaction with high level representatives.
- Responsibility, autonomy, flexibility, ability to work both in team and independently
- Relevant work experience in the field of EU funded projects management and participation is a requirement
- Experience in R&I EU funded projects proposal preparation including dissemination, communication and exploitation sections is a plus
- Experience with drafting position papers, project deliverables, summary reports as well as developing communication tools in English, i.e. drafting newsletter articles, press releases, website content, brochures, etc.
- Knowledge of the freight transport and logistics sector functioning is a strong plus
- Knowledge and Innovation Management experience is a plus
- An excellent command of English (spoken and written) as well as strong ability to communicate with multicultural and diverse community and public speaking; knowledge of other European languages will be an asset
