Microbiology Data Management Intern

**Position Overview**:
This internship will take place in the Research and Development center located in Brussels, the main R&D centers of the Coca‐Cola Company. We oversee the development of new beverages (CSD, juices, iced teas, water, dairy ), packages and retail equipment innovation for Europe, Eurasia, Middle East and Africa.
**Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities**:
- Be part of our EMEA R&D Microbiology Team
- Your role will involve laboratory & computer-based research work with objective to develop microbiology databases driving products shelf-life assessment
- Reviewing and organizing historical (in-house generated) challenge study data
- Data cleaning (management, manual data review, extraction, reconciliation, analysis etc.)
- Manage culture collection: strain identification, characterization
- Consolidation of information for stakeholders’ communication
- Ad-hoc support to the Microbiology Team in ongoing activities
**Education Requirements**:
Ideally first/second year of master’s degree in the field of Life Sciences (microbiology, biology, food science etc.)
**Related Work Experience**:
Data management knowledge
Prior lab experience (academic or otherwise)
**Functional Skills**:
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated
- Strong ability to work independently and w/out supervision
- Strong computer skills (e.g., SharePoint, PowerApp, PowerAutomate, PowerBi environment)
- Understanding of data programming is a plus
