What is the role About?You shall be able to become the leader of the team in charge of the safety coordination and follow up for larger investment projects.Within existing plants, you shall be able to realize task-oriented risk analyses as well as verify the compliance of equipment with actual safety regulations. Setting up a safety action plan in order to organize dynamic risk management can be the next step.The Safety Unit supplies several services:
- Legal services (site coordination according to local legislation
- Safety Engineering
- Fire prevention and protection
- Risk analysis
- ATEX
- HAZOP
- CE certification
- PED
- Environmental
- LOPA
- Seveso

**Requirements**:

- Master's degree in engineering preferably.
- Safety-oriented certificate (master in safety & environmental management or similar) or proven relevant experience.
- Certificate A/B for Saf ety Coordinator
- 5 years’ experience as Safety Coordinator.
- Knowledge of project management systems and tools (e.g. MS Office, MS Project)
- Experience developing projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation (Health, Environment and Safety) in Belgium and especially applicable to industrial projects. You are competent in at least some of the safety engineering skills as mentioned above.

- Languages: Dutch and English are required. French is an Asset.
- Travel availability in Belgium.
- Driving license
