We are currently looking for an **Assistant Housekeeping Manager** to join our dynamic team here at **Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre.**

**Do**
- **Lead**:On an operational level, you lead the Housekeeping Team by example, interact with our team and guests and actively guide the operation of the department. You keep track and plan training needs and plan accordingly.
- **Execute**:You ensure that the Housekeeping team follows all tasks, rules and service standards, in order to keep the highest cleaning standards.
- **Assist**: You assist the Housekeeping Manager in administrative work and take over her responsibilities during her absences. Handling and communication of Lost and Found items.
- **Collaborate**: You will ensure the smooth running & coordination of the department in supervising and motivating the team at all time. You keep a good and professional relationship with all other departments of the hotel. Happy employees create happy customers.

As part of the Housekeeping Team, you will also perform shifts as Manager on Duty on a regular base (guest handling, operational support to all departments, safety & security checks, etc.) also during weekends and bank holidays.

- **Experience.** You have a previous experience in the Housekeeping department in a similar position or a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

- **Team player**. You ensure that the department operates efficiently and respect the different targets/challenges set by the Housekeeping Manager.
- **Innovative**. You think out the box, have an eye for detail and are creative. Establish cleaning plans and pro activity is one of your strengths.
- **IT systems**. Knowledge of Opera & Microsoft Office and Excel is a plus.
