As Data Governance Consultant you play an active role in the implementation of data governance strategy at our clients. You will help them develop a data-driven culture and translate the strategy into measurable objectives. You participate in the elaboration of a permanent improvement policy of the quality and completeness of data within the organization where rules and standards are defined and implemented. You guide companies in the establishment of an unambiguous conceptual framework and information model. You will have the opportunity to define governance processes tailored to the customer, and to implement them successfully. Afterwards, you measure the results against the objectives.

Within Data Foundation & Strategy we help our clients become intelligent, data-driven organizations.
As a consultant you will end up in several sectors with the goal of implementing and guiding our portfolio of data services. We work for major players in finance, pharma, industry and government to support business and IT in the realization of projects and programs across the entire data value chain. This can involve projects within data architecture, data strategy and governance, data transformation, data foundation projects, and so on.

Who we’re looking for
- You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in data management
- You are familiar with data privacy regulations (GDPR)
- You have a good knowledge of data governance practices, business process modeling, data modeling and data architecture
- You have a good understanding of key business processes and information systems involved in the data lifecycle
- You have knowledge of data management tools and technologies, e.g.: Collibra, IBM IGC, Tableau, SQL, Power BI
- You are communicative and a team player who can also work well independently when needed
- Your ability to listen and your coaching skills enable you to help employees develop
- You are someone who goes for quality and customer satisfaction
- You have a good analytical mind and a good ability to summarize, are result-oriented and dare to think out of the box
- You follow technological developments closely and can distinguish hype from value
- You have good oral and written communication skills towards both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You are fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus
