As a Senior Finance Officer at DESelect, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, process improvement, maintaining accurate records, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
You will work closely with the CEO, ExCO and other stakeholders to ensure financial stability and compliance.
This position is based out of Antwerp, Berchem.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment collection, and vendor management.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax requirements, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and internal policies.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and manage cash balances to optimize liquidity and financial performance.
- Financial Systems: Utilize financial software and systems to maintain accurate records and streamline financial processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial operations and implement efficient solutions.

**Requirements**:

- Higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in Dutch and English
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the SaaS industry.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Exact, Excel, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

**Optional Skills**:

- Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
- Experience with financial modelling and forecasting.
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Familiarity with subscription-based revenue models and billing processes.
