Location BELGIUM - ANTWERP **Key Responsibilities** **Business Intelligence** - Act in BI projects as a business analyst by "bridging business & IT" and directing further development of analytics - Get a good understanding of business needs and translate them into functional reports and dashboards, building an expertise on intelligent dashboard design and data visualization - Analyze business requirements and processes and recommend them to the management and executives for implementation - Manage a wide range of analysis requests; discuss and look for actionable insights from the captured data - Develop business intelligence solutions for the organization - Identify the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability - Provide reporting through BI tools to improve business processes - Collaborate with team members for the purpose of collecting data and executing the company’s mission - Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization **Data Science** - Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes - Mine and analyze data from multiple databases to drive optimization and improvement of logistics and warehousing techniques and business strategies - Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns - Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms **Key Skills / Competences** **Key skills**: - Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills - The ability to work both as a team and independently - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - Strong project management and leadership skills - An understanding of the ethics of gathering and working with data - Scripting in Power Query (M) and DAX - Good knowledge of T-SQL - Python is desirable **Key competences**: - BI tools (Power BI as a big advantage) - Data Science tools - Data warehousing and ETL/ELT tools (MS stack desirable) - Azure Analytics **Key Deliverables** - BI reports, dashboards, dimensional models, datasets and dataflows - Predictive models and algorithms - Recommendations and insights - Data/process metrics: tbd **Main Interactions** **Internal**: - Management team, business units, account managers, shared services - Business analysts, data stewards, data engineer, data architect, IT **External**: - Ahlers’ customers **Back-up**: - Peer data analysts **Employment conditions**: - An international professional environment characterized by an entrepreneurial and innovative culture. - A competitive salary, quarterly bonus depends on KPI - A remuneration package in accordance with Belgian Labor Law and regulations. - Plenty of opportunities to develop international knowledge and personal qualities. - Compensation for mobile phone communication and transport according to corporate standards. - Participation in corporate training programs and employee events. - Standard business hours 09:00 - 17:30, partial home office can be discussed.
