**VACANCY NOTICE: POLICY OFFICER**

Fire Safe Europe is a European association representing companies and professional organizations aiming to improve fire safety in buildings for people and society. We are at the crossroads of policies, businesses, and governments, supporting the interests of the fire safety industry in Europe.

The FSEU Secretariat, based in Brussels, ensures the day-to-day activity of the association and is currently looking for a proactive and motivated Policy Officer (full-time).

**YOUR PROFILE**

With a Master's Degree and a proven track record of **at least 3 years of experience in Public Affairs**, the Policy Officer will play a key role in shaping and further promoting FSEU’s activities.

**YOUR ROLE**

The Policy Officer will be responsible for **energy and environmental affairs as well as economic and internal market issues**. Relevant policy topics will include the Energy Performance of Buildings, the Construction Products Regulation and further policies within the frame of the European Green Deal that can have an impact on the fire safety of European buildings.

Reporting to the Managing Director, he/she will notably be in charge of the following tasks:

- Proactive communication and advocacy work towards European institutions;
- External representation of the association’s position vis-à-vis political decision-makers and interest groups by attending and speaking at workshops and conferences;
- Monitoring, analysis and evaluation of legislative documents and policy developments;
- Development of position papers, briefings, strategies, consultation responses and other relevant materials, in close cooperation with FSEU members;
- Continuous support to FSEU members;
- Contribution to the content of FSEU communication tools.
