**MISSION**
- As Digital architect your main responsibility is to translate wishes and business needs into solutions.
- As technical expert you will be directly involved in any major new developments to bridge the gap between business requirements and high-level design.
- You will work on diverse digital initiatives that (could) require architectural changes and making use of the newest technologies.
- Support the enterprise architect in defining Luminus IT architecture strategies based on medium to long term needs and best practices in the market
- Ensure that the solutions effectively and efficiently support customer and business requirements
- Be a change driver of our digital architecture and way of working transformation based on MACH architecture principles (Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless) and a modern technolody stack.
**LIST OF ACTIVITIES**
- Deliver solution models and solution architectures in line with business requirements to deliver business value
- Work in close collaboration with the project stakeholders to understand the business requirements so that recommended solution options provide the best fit against requirements (the WHY) and budget
- Assess the impact of business change requests on the existing architecture and support the prioritization of these changes
- Build and maintain our digital architectural vision and roadmap
- Participate in technology selection (f.i. software within our Digital architecture, software development tooling,)
- Understand the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) drivers and contribute to keep their evolution under control
- Provide supervision and guidance to development teams ensuring adherence to the digital standards and guidelines
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders on how to best align business processes
- Collaborate with peer architects in providing consensus-based IT solutions that are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs
- Work with external and internal suppliers to ensure that the appropriate technology direction is clear
- Exploring the market on new technologies and in helping our DevOps teams
**COMPETENCES**
- Able to explain complex technical solutions in plain English, French or Dutch allowing to evaluate options and take the right decisions
- Have strong listening, communication, facilitation, influencing and analytical skills as well within an IT as Business workshop context
- Able to transform theoretical concepts into pragmatic and working solutions
- Able to identify opportunities, threats, impact of changing technology
- Leadership skills to act as a change driver
**BACKGROUND**
- Have a proven track record of working on successful digital solution architecture designs and their implementation;
- Good understanding of Typescript, NestJS (Node), NextJS (React), Microservices, OpenAPI, Azure and AWS
- Sufficient technical and programming knowledge to correctly evaluate migration, trials and development strategies
- IT & Cloud development background
- DevOps practices to support our digital delivery
