**What you will be doing**
- Lead the Compliance Function and the Team, which currently consists of 15 Team Members
- Strategically manage the compliance risk of the bank by developing risk management strategies that support the business requirements of the bank and its clients efficiently while meeting the highest regulatory standards.
- Maintain a robust governance framework with documented policies and procedures as appropriate to the company’s activities and growth, covering banking regulations, AML, PSD2, Mifid, GDPR, and other regulations, covering the activities of the bank in all jurisdictions where the bank is active.
- Act as main the contact point with the regulatory authorities for any compliance related matters, in all jurisdictions where the bank is active and ensure compliance with their regulations and recommendations
- Develop and roll out policies, monitoring activities, as well as training to ensure the company and its employees are aware and abide by their regulatory obligations
- Keep the Board of Directors, the Risk and Audit Committee and the Executive Committee informed of developments in compliance risk management and act as main contact point for all compliance matters
- Liaise internally with commercial, marketing and corporate teams when required
- Manage the team in delivering on day-to-day compliance activities: establish and carry out an appropriate compliance monitoring program within relevant time frames (including carrying out testing where appropriate) and with the necessary level of detail

**Skills you should have**
- 5+ experience within a compliance department of a financial Institution or a leading consultancy advising on regulatory compliance
- Experience in leading and managing others
- Certification as a compliance officer by the FSMA (or undertaking to be certified swiftly)
- Deep knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, e.g.: banking regulations, governance, AML, outsourcing, PSD2, MIFID2, consumer protection, GDPR
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated track record of developing and rolling out compliance processes and programs
- Passion about digital finance, fintech and technology supporting the compliance function
- Expertise with compliance risk management when offering banking services to institutional clients (such as electronic money institutions, fintechs and payment institutions in a B2B context would be a plus
- Professional knowledge of English, French and Dutch
- Proven experience in working with remote and international teams
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
