To contribute to Europe and Belgium’s ambitions for the Energy Transition, a project is underway to extend the offshore high voltage grid. The grid will connect the new Belgian windfarms. Therefore, we are looking for a Project engineer/Coordinator for our client in Brussels.
Mission
As a Project Engineer/coordinator you will:
- Collaborate closely with the Manager and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support throughout all project phases.
- Take the lead in coordinating interfaces between different third parties (Marine Warranty Surveyor, Certification Authority, Owner’s Engineer), ensuring seamless communication and timely delivery of vital information.
- Manage and oversee activities related to third parties, such as independent calculations, document reviews, and site inspections, to maintain project integrity and compliance.
- Secure necessary verification reports and certificates of approvals, while identifying and mitigating risks associated with project design and construction.
- Prepare and deliver monthly status updates to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Provide valuable support to the quality officer, ensuring top-notch quality control during construction and offshore installation.
Profile
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in multi-disciplinary and complex projects within marine, dredging, or offshore engineering fields.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or Coastal Engineering.
- Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) within the offshore sector is highly desirable.
- Open for possible short business trips or offshore trips
- You speak French or Dutch. Good level of English is a must.
