The Accounting Department at our headquarters in Brussels, (see the map here) we’re looking for an **General Accounting Team Leader** (M/F/x).

**Your**
**responsibilities***:

- Oversee general, asset, and analytical accounting for the Belgian companies and legal entities within the Fluxys Group
- Lead, coordinate, and support a dedicated team of three individuals
- Contribute to the development of our operations and assist in establishing new legal entities focused on low-carbon molecules and captured CO2
- Plan, coordinate, and analyse month-end closings according to BGAAP standards, working closely with teams in the Accounting Department and other departments within Fluxys
- Prepare reports for internal stakeholders such as management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders (e.g. the National Bank of Belgium)
- Collaborate on regulatory reporting and margin calculations for the regulated legal entities
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, digitalisation, and automation. Encourage and promote flexibility within your team
- Participate in the SAP rollout for newly established legal entities of the Fluxys Group in Belgium and internationally. Support foreign subsidiaries with their new and/or complex accounting entries
- Assist auditors with their tasks

**About**
**you***:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a master’s degree in economics, applied economics, business engineering, or a related field, with a major in accounting or auditing
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team
- Highly analytical and critical mindset with a genuine passion for working with numbers and financial data
- Good knowledge is Belgium GAAP is required and familiarity with IFRS is a plus
- Organized, results-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of initiative
- Client-focused with excellent communication skills
- Native speaker of either Dutch or French, with a good command of the other language and English
