**Inventory Accountant**

**Ghent, Belgium.**

**About the role **

To provide exceptional support to the finance team by ensuring the Company Accounts correctly reflect the Inventory position of Sally Europe.

**Key Responsibilities **
- Follow and manage Inventory for stores and warehouses in Sally UK and Ireland in all aspects
- Inventory analysis and explanation of variances
- Accounting for and reporting on shrink, damages, obsolescence, goods in transit, cycle counts, store counts, advance payments and purchase accruals related to inventory
- Freight and duty costs in Inventory value
- Follow up of store and warehouse counts
- Analysis and follow up of Inventory Transactions and valuations
- Liaise with warehouse and store management
- Liaise with internal and external audit on Inventory related topics
- Reporting for SOX on several Inventory topics

**About you **
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, confident delivering against deadlines and prioritising workload
- Able to review and manage high volumes of data accurately
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Analytical thinker
- Excellent relationship builder, experienced at working across all levels in an organisation
- Strong excel skills
- Microsoft AX knowledge is desirable but not essential
- Fluent English is essential for this position, with a conversational level of Dutch
