Payroll and Accounting Administrator

**Company Description** Essensium NV** consists of 2 autonomous divisions (Essensium and Mind). We are solid and healthy company with brilliant people, flat no-nonsense culture, with an international, scale-up type of environment (50+ employees) where you can learn a lot.
You will be working closely together with the Finance Director and CEO help with accounting, payroll, HR-, and administrative processes for both divisions. This role also offers a broad and interesting mix of responsibilities and will allow you to grow in responsibilities over the coming years.
- ** Location**: you live close to Leuven, at commutable distance to our office in Heverlee
- ** Office/remote**: we expect you to work from the office 3-4 days per week, the rest can be done remotely. 80% can also be discussed.
- ** Languages**: English and Dutch is a must
**What you will do**:
**1. Invoicing and accounting in Odoo (our ERP system)**
- Issue sales invoices, follow up on payments
- Maintaining the company’s financial records
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements
- Report to Finance director
**2. Payroll**
- Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information and have efficient payroll processes
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
- Provide management reporting on regular basis
- Work in close cooperation with our payroll partner
**3. General systems admin**
- Interface with our insurance agencies, maintain the administrative requirements
- Maintain administrative requirements for company cars and interface with the car leasing companies
**4. General admin related to the foreign subsidiaries** (UK, France)
**Qualifications** Skills and competences**
- Ideally you have already some experience with payroll, accounting or HR procedures. The rest we will teach you :)
- Good and efficient organizer, eye for detail
- You love paperwork and is able to make paperflow more efficient, automated and structured
- Basic knowledge in accounting
- No nonsense approach
- Ability to work both independently, with discretion, integrity and professional attitude
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in Dutch + good English
