LaCAR is a Liège-based start-up active in genetic molecular diagnostics. We develop and market kits for the diagnosis of genetic diseases. Our main customers are laboratories throughout Europe. **Role and tasks**: - Participate in **monthly financial closing**: support accountant in charge of day-to-day bookings / generate and analyse financial statements (per company + consolidation view) - **Financial management** of grants and subsidies, preparing Form C (EU) and statement of claims (Walloon Region), recording all expenses and revenue accurately in the accounting system - **Prepare extracts for budgets** by department and perform gap analysis - **Perform** any **account reconciliations** (payables, receivables, inventory,...), resolving discrepancies and issues in collaboration with all business partners - Involved in **credit collection**: - Maintain and update **the cost accounting system**: - Improve **systems and procedures**: - Enforce **proper accounting methods and policies**: - Maintain appropriate **tax records**: - Coordinate annual **audit** **Profile**: - **Senior** profile (3 to 5 years of experience) - Bachelor's degree in **accounting, finance or equivalent.**: - **French & English**: - Advanced **Microsoft Excel skills**: - Familiar with **VAT matters**: - Knowledge of** integrated ERP systems** is a plus - **Analytical minded**, **accurate** and very well **organized**: - Strong **teamwork skills** & **customer minded**: - Able to** communicate effectively**: - Willing to **learn** and continuously **improve**: - **Problem solver** with a "can-do" attitude **Offer**: - **️ Permanent contract** (38h/week) ️ An **exceptional working environment** with a view over the woods of Sart-Tilman, as well as a south-facing terrace for afterwork events. **Fun team-buildings** with the team **Free fruits** at the office **Free-Soup**-Tuesdays
