Technology Underwriter Belgium

Chubb is growing and we are looking for a passionate Technology/Climate technology Underwriter to join our Technology Practice team in Belgium. In the role as Underwriter, you will focus specifically on Technology and Climate Technology.

We require someone to develop and assist in underwriting Technology risks. Maintaining and building relationships with our Belgium brokers community with an ambition to write additional new business, which will be key to the success of this role, as well as growing the existing portfolio in line with our agreed growth targets, pricing and retention budget.

You make an impact and strengthen our market position by:

- Building and maintaining good relationships with brokers.
- Promoting our capabilities and building of a profitable Technology/climate technology portfolio.
- Strong commercial drive, always looking for new opportunities and value service and quality.
- Ensuring quality control by means of including underwriting and peer reviews.
- Representing and promoting Chubb to brokers and clients.
- Delivering strong service to brokers and clients, responding to cross-sell and new business opportunities and monitoring retention.
- Meeting the portfolio product line objectives of the Northern Zone Technology practice team for each underwriting year.

You bring the following:

- Fundamental understanding of and experience from underwriting processes preferably within Technology and Climate Technology
- Degree in Engineering, Computer sciences or business administration or technical / business experience background with an interest for new technologies.
- A strong commercial drive and very customer-oriented approach.
- Experience from client servicing preferably from the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated skills in building and maintaining client relationships preferably from the insurance industry.
- Results driven, disciplined and ambitious with ability to work on own initiative.
- Good communicator and fluent in Dutch, English. French is a strong preference.
