Tax Senior Associate

For the expansion of our Finance team, argenx is looking for a Tax Senior Associate. The role will report to the Associate Director of Tax covering all areas of tax planning and compliance. This is a new role in an exciting dynamic company and will evolve over time.

**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Assist with building sustainable Belgian and International tax planning including APAs, rulings, and other arrangements.
- Participate in projects and business partnering.
- Participate in tax audits and controversies.
- Assist in quarterly and annual tax close and tax reporting processes including the tax provisions, effective tax rate analysis and deferred taxes.
- Assist in building automated tax accounting processes going forward.
- Involved in improvement and maintenance of all tax-related compliance and business processes involving VAT, customs, withholding and other taxes.
- Assist in global transfer pricing strategies and documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee the outsourced tax processes including tax return compliance and transfer pricing documentation.
- Assist in monitoring tax policy changes and legislative implementation to adapt the argenx tax strategy and quantify any impact.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- 3-5 years’ Belgian and international tax experience with at least 2 years in a Big 4 accounting firm or law firm
- Experience in a biotech, pharma or life science company a plus
- Law degree or/combined with another degree in Tax / Accounting / Finance
- Results driven.
- Hands-on mentality and eye for detail.
- Knowledge of set-up and use of ERP systems
