The Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU) is a department of the Institut Jules Bordet. The Institut Jules Bordet is an integrated multi-disciplinary centre, unique in Belgium and with an international reputation. The hospital is an academic non-profit organisation devoted entirely to patients affected by cancer.
The whole CTSU team fight cancer through the design, set-up and conduct of innovative clinical studies that matters for patients.
With an experience of more than 20 years, we propose a wide range of services in clinical study management, from scientific support to operational activities. We promote an academic research while encouraging collaboration with other academic partners and pharmaceutical companies.
For its IT department, within the CDIT (Clinical Data Integration Tools) team, the IJB-CTSU is looking for a motivated Technical Support Specialist.
**Position**
Reporting directly to the CDIT Team Leader, the Technology Support Specialist enhances the effectiveness of the Department by providing professional, efficient and effective first-line support to end users of the IT systems in operation at CTSU and administrative management support to the CDIT Team.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Acts as the first point of contact for all Help Desk and technology support requests from internal and external users;
- Dispatch incident-related tasks, help resolving incidents and ensure that this process is properly documented;
- Participate to the CTSU infrastructure maintenance, including PC’s and Servers (hardware and software), databases, web sites, and computer networks under the team leader supervision;
- Research and compile information and processes documents to support operations of the team;
- Coordinate the purchasing process for small purchases and software license renewals;
- Administrate user’s authentication and authorization for accessing the tools;
- Train operational team on the tools used by the CTSU;
- Collaborate with the Institute Jules Bordet Central IT department.

**Profile**
- Methodical troubleshooting, and attention to detail are essential traits for achieving success in this role;
- High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information;
- Minimum 3 years of IT support, preferably with experience in an IT or clinical research environment;
**Skills and competencies**
- Excellent command of written & spoken English and French;
- Advanced computer skills, including Windows, Linux and Microsoft Office Suite (Including Microsoft Access);
- Strong knowledge of administrative process and procedures;
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to create well written documentation and presentations;
- Working knowledge of SQL is a plus;
- Working experience with ITIL process and change management is a plus;
- Good knowledge in scripting languages : Python, Nodejs, Go or Bash;
- Good knowledge in Linux;
- Good knowledge in PostgreSql, MySql;
- Redmine;
- Wikimedia;
- Experience of working in an Agile environment;
- CI/CD ( Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery ) GitLab;
- Oracle;
- DevOps skills;
- Docker;
- Kubernetes (K8s).
