**Editor-in-Chief, **_Strategic Europe_**
Carnegie Europe (CE), the European policy research center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking a part-time Editor-in-Chief for CE's flagship blog _Strategic Europe_. The blog, launched in 2012, is a unique platform within the Carnegie family marrying hard-hitting and thought-provoking content on Europe's most pressing foreign policy challenges. With unparalleled access and outreach, the blog offers biweekly analysis that harnesses CE's in-house expertise and engages with a diverse range of voices from across Europe and the world.
The new editor-in-chief will handle the overall curation of the blog - which has an annual audience of over half a million users - and will be given freedom to guide it into its next chapter following the stepping down the of the blog's founding editor-in-chief, Judy Dempsey. Day-to-day responsibilities include the writing, commissioning, and editing of blog pieces. The editor-in-chief will also be critical to expanding the blog's reach beyond current audiences. As such, the person will be expected to spearhead an innovative, forward-looking plan to preserve the blog's established brand and capital of readers while introducing new topics and authors in a way that complements and enriches Carnegie's existing expertise. The editor-in-chief will also work with CE senior management to ensure the financial stability of the blog.
