For our client, an international leader in the **metal industry,** we are currently looking for a **Payroll & Compensation/Benefits Expert** to support his activities.

**Your role: driving payroll excellence and Compensation & Benefits optimization**

As a Payroll & Compensation/Benefits Expert, you’ll be responsible for handling payroll operations and structuring compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are both competitive and compliant. You’ll handle the day-to-day management of payroll processes and manage complex cases (such as cross-border workers, impatriates, split salaries) to provide tailored solutions that meet all regulatory standards.

This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys focusing on the technical and operational aspects of payroll and benefits without managing a team. You’ll work in close partnership with external advisors, including a payroll provider, to deliver accurate and compliant payroll results.

**What you’ll do**:

- **Payroll management**: Oversee the accurate, timely processing of payroll in partnership with an external provider, ensuring compliance with local labor and tax regulations.
- **Specific cases handling**: Manage payroll and benefits for specific cases, including cross-border workers and impatriates, ensuring that all tax and social security needs are met according to regulations.
- **Compensation & Benefits**: Develop and manage local compensation programs, such as salary reviews, bonuses, stock options, pension plans, and other incentives, ensuring they remain attractive and compliant.
- **Compliance & Reporting**: Keep up with changes in statutory regulations and labor law requirements, coordinating with external advisors to implement necessary updates.
- **HR Data management**: Ensure regular updates of employee data in HR systems, maintaining accurate and compliant records.
- **Collaboration with HR colleagues**: Partner with the HR Manager and broader HR team to provide insights, manage employee inquiries, and support internal and external audits or reporting requirements.
- **Vendor Management**: Act as the main point of contact with the payroll provider, ensuring efficient service delivery and data accuracy for all payroll-related matters.
- **Process improvement**: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and benefits processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

**What are the requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Social Legislation, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 10+ years of experience in payroll and compensation/benefits management, with solid knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and package optimization.
- **Technical skills**: Deep understanding of payroll systems and compliance requirements, with experience working with external payroll providers.
- **Languages**: Proficiency in English and French is a must, Dutch is a nice to have.
- **Attention to detail**: Exceptional accuracy in payroll execution and benefits administration.
- **Problem-solving abilities**: A solutions-oriented approach to addressing and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- **Communication skills**: Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with employees, internal departments, and external partners.
- **Organizational skills**: Excellent prioritization and task management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- **Confidentiality**: High respect for confidentiality and discretion regarding employee data and payroll information.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to adapt quickly to regulatory changes or organizational shifts.
- **Analytical Mindset**: Strong analytical abilities to interpret payroll data and provide insights.

Pay: €5.000,00 - €6.000,00 per month
