**QUALIFICATION SUMMARY**
**& PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the essential tasks and responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planner are
- to efficiently coordinate all intercompany supply and to efficiently manage the assigned group of items and suppliers to deliver the best inventory turns while maintaining a high level of customer service
- to control costs and realise cost savings in the entire Supply Chain
- to compile information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material and to contact vendors to check status of orders and ensure that the products are shipped to the branches, customers and job sites on the specified shipping date(s).
- to drive improvement by establishing and managing appropriate projects within Supply Chain
- to work together with Customer Care, Product management and Operations.
**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITI**
**ES**
Efficiently manages and coordinates all the intercompany supply to deliver the best inventory turns while maintaining a high level of customer service by working together with other team members and global cross-functional departments
Efficiently manages the assigned group of items and suppliers to deliver the best inventory turns while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Uses available inventory replenishment methods to insure minimum dead, slow and scrap inventory, and maximum availability of inventory for active items.
Develops and manages the various databases to ensure systems work smoothly

- Safety stocks
- Lead times
Manages the
**O**rder
**A**dministration
**P**rocess and issues the necessary (and approved) Purchase / Intercompany and/or Manufacturing Orders as directed by the requestor or as required by the MRP software.
Perform price negotiations with approved vendors to control costs and realize cost savings in the entire Supply Chain
Ensures parts are available based on orders and forecasts; updates deliveries from suppliers and adjusts material plan with the new delivery info, notifies sales when there will be changes to scheduled shipments and inform them of new approximate shipping and arrival dates, and prioritises and schedules shipments from suppliers to the different branches.
Interacts with suppliers to solve problems and discrepancies in delivery dates, quantities, or invoices, will follow up the best possible delivery dates and solutions for problems.
Is proficient in Expediting suppliers and logistics, escalates when necessary.
Verifies invoice(s) from suppliers against bids, purchase order(s) and deliveries and releases the invoice(s) for approval.
Files and records all data and maintains database(s).
Manages tactical duties with suppliers and reports on Supplier Performance
Owns the tactical day-to-day supplier relationship management
Coordinate with global Victaulic Manufacturing Facilities to develop material replenishment and inventory plans for all new product introductions, engineering changes, and other events which will affect product inventory and availability.
Manage multiple projects and co-ordinate activities of project teams when taking team lead positions. Projects can be in the nature of
- developing supplier review meetings
- developing system to improve vendor quotation evaluations
- utilization of appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery and service
- design, implement, manage, and monitor procurement reporting system
- develop and implement appropriate key performance indicators monitoring and improvement programs, in consultation and agreement with the SCM managementIs Customer Service driven
Works well in a team environment - knows several problem-solving techniques
**EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND PER**
**SONAL ATTRIBUTES QUALIFICATIONS**
Master’s degree in a business or technical discipline, or similar through experience
Experience (min 5 years) in Purchasing, Expediting, Material Control and/or related fields.
In-depth knowledge of materials planning processes and computer systems required
CPIM preferred
Excellent computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, knowledge of Access is an asset).
Strong analytical problem-solving ability required
Excellent developed people and organizational skills
Fluent in Dutch and English, any supplementary language is an asset
Excellent oral and written communication skills required (Including English).
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management required.
Willing to make occasionally travel abroad
