- Global Public Partnerships leads CI’s engagement with European partners: European Union institutions, European governments, European corporate and foundations, and other key stakeholders for policy, partnerships, and funding opportunities relevant to CI’s global miss
The Communications and Events Coordinator - Europe and Global Public Partnerships is an integral member of the CI Europe
- Global Public Partnerships team (CIE-GPP), reporting to the VP Europe Strategy and Partnerships, and working closely with the Engagement Lead - UK and Europe and the Senior Manager, Outreach and Partnership Development to support the execution of CI’s stakeholder communications and events activities in Europe. The focus of the position is on the following areas:
- Events: Support all elements of event production for CI Europe
- Global Public Partnerships, including but not limited to: Maintaining an events calendar and materials, support the generation of content and communications, tracking invitations, formatting briefings, researching and securing venues and suppliers, coordinating with other divisions to support delegates and participants, driving logístical coordination, tracking follow ups, being available for on-site support and liaising with event counterparts.
- Communications: Research, synthesise, and curate content to support targeted outreach efforts. Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of key assets for CI -Europe-Global Public Partnerships. Maintain an annual editorial calendar; support the identification of communications opportunities. Support the compilation of social media content. Support internal communications efforts and coordination across the CIE-GPP team.
- Stakeholder management: Support the management of stakeholder groups including but not limited to Europe Council, CI-UK Board, public donors, and other partners by tracking contacts and storing information, helping to draft informative materials for fundraising and engagement efforts, scheduling meetings, and taking minutes.
- Systems management and administrative support: Manage and maintain up-to-date outreach tracking systems including CI’s CRM (Raiser’s Edge), calendars, databases and contact lists to ensure effective record-keeping and coordination around outreach opportunities.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the execution of stakeholder communication and events strategies in Europe, collaborating with relevant team members and divisions to ensure effective internal coordination and to support outreach activities.
- Manage and update outreach tracking systems, diaries, and calendars to aid effective internal coordination, external communication, and information storage.
- Support all elements of event production.
- Maintain a portfolio of key assets to support fundraising and engagement efforts with a diverse range of European stakeholders.
- Maintain an editorial calendar to assist with the identification of communication opportunities in Europe.
- Where needed, help to draft and compile content for reports, fact sheets, newsletters, and social media. Compile and format materials in preparation for stakeholder engagements, including for Europe Council, CI-UK Board, public and private partners, and other organisations.
- Maintain repository of governance documents.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Home working (remote) or Hybrid (if Belgium).
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required (less than 20%).
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet, consult, and advise staff in multiple time zones. Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines on occasion.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Required**
- 2-4 years of related work experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral including the ability to synthesise information for a variety of purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to convey complex content in clear, concise language.
- Experience managing events or general project management is desired.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly with respe
