The site is brand new, under construction and almost completed.

This role has responsibility for fitting out the site and organising it from an operational and material flow perspective. You'll develop a plan for local inventory, stock control and European distribution from the warehouse.

The site is responsible for the safe receipt of complete machinery and parts, and distribution of these to customers across the continent.You will also have overall responsibility for customer service from the depot.

**Position Description**

The European Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring highly satisfied customers through productive, profitable and customer-focused processes. This includes collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance and logistics to ensure company objectives are met.

This individual must have a high sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and strong prioritization capabilities to provide transparency to the employee base on a daily basis. They will provide the vision and strategy to drive the company's long term growth in Europe.

**Amongst other requirements the role requires you to**:

- Promote company culture through incorporating the company’s core values
- Provide a working environment that promotes positive employee safety, morale and communication
- Manage, maintain and set budgets to assure the strategic financial goals of the company are met
- Be responsible for the security and maintenance of the building including opening and closing the facility
- Oversee all warehouse activity to ensure an organized and professional environment - Ensure internal and external safety policies are being adhered to and implement site safety meetings to ensure compliance with safe work practices
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of inventory management strategies and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transactions to ensure a high level of inventory control accuracy
- Identify and implement process improvement strategies
- Approve local invoices for parts shipments, goods purchased and/or services rendered - Manage safety stock replenishment report
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to complete domestic and international machine shipments
- Ensure responsiveness and proactive communication with customers
- Gather and produce key measure information for month end reporting
- Facilitate machine shipments and backorder logistics with Sales Administration
- Complete pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
- Assist with loading and unloading of machines and ocean containers if required due to staffing requirements
- Lead annual cycle counts of all machine and parts inventory
- Coordinate onboard training with new employees in all job responsibilities
- Conduct performance reviews and provide disciplinary action as needed

**Some of the skills and experience you will need**:

- Proficient computer skills; Experience with order entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system strongly preferred
- Proficient written and spoken English required; Bilingual skills including French, German or Spanish preferred
- A current Forklift License or be prepared to obtain one
- Experience with packaging, forklifts, freight logistics and order fulfilment
- Experience with international sea freight and container unloading
- Manufacturing experience utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery.
