Together with the controllers, shared service centre and external parties, such as our accountants and advisors, you ensure accurate accounting. This not only involves the correct administration of the figures, but also identifying bottlenecks and risks in terms of legislation and regulations. **What you will be doing**:
As Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for financial analysis and internal controls. You analyze complex financial data and risks and make connections for reporting. With a proactive attitude you suggest improvements for administrative and financial processes. Together with your fellow Accounting Officers in the Netherlands and France, you work to standardize processes within the Western Europe cluster and exchange best practices.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Check that the company's financial statements are accurate (e.g. correct entries and allocations to cost and profit centers).
- Handling tax returns, otherwise returns for governments and agencies and the like
- Preparation of monthly reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Analysis of financial figures versus budget and forecast.
- Cooperate with the shared service center in Poland that handles operational tasks and administration.
- Be first contact for audit and other government agencies regarding relevant tax and legal issues such as tax returns, VAT, environmental returns, etc.

**The Accounting Officer we are looking for**:
- Has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an economic or financial field. A degree in Taxation is a strong asset.
- 4 Years of experience as an accounting officer, financial or business analyst, accountant or auditor.
- Is stress resistant and ensures deadlines are met thanks to the right priorities.
- Works accurately and independently and is well organized.
- Communicates clearly in Dutch/English or French/English.
- Has an excellent command of Excel (pivot tables and power pivots) and can work well with ERP packages and BI (Business Intelligence) for reporting. Knowledge of SAP and/or Power BI is a plus.
