**Your role & work environment**

You help ING to define and steer its strategic objectives by proactively managing INGs risk appetite, provide credit risk advice unlocking business potential, lead virtual teams on strategic change programs, and coordinate adoption of new ways of working within the risk department. You do this by collecting input from various expert areas and credit risk analytics, and combine this information into a comprehensive story.

You are member of the ICAAP team, within the Strategic Risk Department.

**Your key responsibilities**

Support strategic ambitions by proactively managing INGs risk appetite on Credit risk & Solvency risk.
- Review the Credit and Solvency risk appetite, aligned to INGs strategic ambitions and associated risks and help stakeholders pro-actively manage business within risk appetite.
- Unlock business potential and help shape INGs future balance sheet by supporting the CRR3 change program.
- Perform sensitivity and trade-off analysis to safeguard INGs return on equity
- Serve as a single point of contact for Business, Finance, external auditors, regulators or rating agencies on questions related to Solvency and Credit risk

Positively impact the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP) on ING Belgium.
- Bring new insights and ideas on important ICAAP components.
- Ensure forward looking capital planning under baseline and stressed conditions.
- Support multi-year roadmaps bringing INGs ICAAP adherence to the next level.

Capture innovative solutions and shape the risk management function of the future, coordinating the adoption of GenAI and new technology
- Become the point of contact for GenAI related activities within the risk department for ING Belgium
- Connect to other parts of the groupwide organisation on GenAI plans and collect outside-in perspectives
- Define the low-risk areas for efficiency gains at short term
- Define and follow up detailed roadmaps for modelling activities positively impacting efficiency of risk management

For this purpose, you will also:

- acquire a very good knowledge of the calculation of Credit risk, the related reporting infrastructure of ING Group (Vortex) and the management tools.
- maintain a variety of transversal contacts with internal and external stakeholders (other Risk, Finance, Capital Management, various delivery tribes, ING Group, Front office, Subsidiaries, Auditors etc.)
- have direct exposure towards INGs leadership.

As a Financial Risk Expert within Strategic Risk you will need:

- Master's degree (Economics, Finance, other)
- Relevant experience (+5years) in Risk Management, Financial analytics,
- Relevant experience in financial project management
- A fluent level in English (written and oral communicator)
- Eagerness to learn and explore new ways of working and automations
- Data-minded: Experience in SAS EG / credit reporting software is a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Autonomy and teamwork
