We are hiring a **Business Development Executive **on behalf of one of our valued clients in the Logistics Industry. The job requirements and details are outlined below.

**Goal of the function -**

As a Business Development Executive, your primary responsibility will involve cultivating new business opportunities. You are an energetic and organized person and like to work according to established processes concerning workflow, utilization of IT tools, and administrative procedures. Your efforts will be dedicated to optimizing sales productivity and gross profit, within a team of enthusiastic individuals.
The Company places a significant emphasis on ensuring customer satisfaction, making it a core aspect of your role. Additionally, your flexibility to support operational processes within the Zaventem branch office as needed is highly valued.

**Tasks and responsibilities -**

Your main responsibility in this function will be the handling of Business Development tasks. You will work in close cooperation, and reporting to, the Branch Manager in Belgium and Business development management team in the Netherlands. Furthermore, you will be in close communication with Sales & Operations and sharing information with them.
- **Your tasks will be as follows**:_
- Minimum 8 calls per week, of which 6 calls on Target or Prospect accounts & 2 on existing accounts
- A visiting report of each visit
- Joint calls being done with (trade lane) Management from our air & sea division
- Target: business development
- Minimum Gross Profit - newly generated business (3 years)
- Handle incoming sales leads (KPI within 1 week), using the WICE tool for reporting
- Sending outgoing sales leads to our overseas partners (KPI 1 per week) reporting in Cargowise
- Keep record of sales activities in Cargowise by using tickets, notes and reports
- Selling all HHE offered services: air, sea, b2b, customs, and added value service without losing focus on our core business: overseas freight
- To make sure customer find its way in our organization and to all relevant persons
- Report Monthly / weekly planning to Trade Lane management and management for transparence & continuity over the teams internally & externally (IS/CS, OPS, & Finance, sea and air) as well as externally
- Evaluate margins in close cooperation with Management
- Using freight offers tools and other relevant IT tools (Cargowise) to maximize productivity & transparency
- Use of approved vendors
- In close cooperation with management, new suppliers can be queried and/or used if required. Registration in purchase sheet for transparency and continuity.
- Professional consulting of customers related to all kind of sea freight & airfreight related matters
- Pass on relevant customer information to TL OPS & IS/CS in order to maintain manuals, customer base & databases (operational info - margins
- contacts - all info relevant for freight offer purposes)
- Communication with overseas partners & suppliers
- Handling complaints of customers in close cooperation with management
- Self-assessment and assessment of existing IS / CS procedures

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or equivalent by experience
- Minimum of 4 years operational experience and 1 year experience in a sales function
- Very good command of English and Dutch in both writing and speech
- Good command of French would be a benefit
