The Country Manager directly reports to the CEO of the company. He/she manages the whole country strategy and is a major actor in the strategic decisions of the organization.
The Country Manager is therefore responsible for the success of the country’s expansion: overseeing all aspects of the business of the online pharmacy.
He/she closely collaborates with the Chief Marketing Officer in the HQ to align the country marketing strategy.
He/she sets up a market penetration strategy taking into account the specificities of the pharmaceutical market in the country with its regulatory constraints.
**MAIN RESPONSABILITIES**
Strategic responsibilities
- **Define the local positioning of the company**:
- Implement a market penetration strategy, identify targets, intensively approach decision-makers at retailers
- Present the Group's unique model and its added value to targets
- Implement the local marketing strategy including loyalty programs adapted to specific customer issues, and analyse and monitor programs performance.
- Inside a matrix organization, **collaborate with the marketing, sourcing and finance departments in HQ** to define the country specific goals in terms of:
- Marketing projects and programs to increase customer acquisition and retention;
- Pricing strategy : development of the product catalogs (pricing, information );
- Buying and Sourcing strategy: identify suppliers and product ranges.
Develop Operational Plans
- From communications to warehousing, the Country Manager ensures that all aspects of the business operates smoothly. He/she ensures that a business’s in-country affiliate adheres to all **country regulations and cultural guidelines.**:
- He/she also develops plans for company growth and improvement of sales.
Generate Progress Reports
- Assess company **progress, sales and marketing successes **and compile reports to submit to superiors in corporate headquarters. He/she presents reports regarding budgets, sales growth or declines, new business leads and regulatory compliance;
- **Define annual budgets and develop a detailed annual operational plan** in line with the strategic objectives of the headquarters;
- Responsible for the **country contribution to P&L**:
- Setup both short-term and long-term growth and profitability goals;
- Propose and monitor country budget and KPIs.
Legal responsibilities
- Ensure that all the decisions adhere to the country regulation and cultural guidelines.
Competition analyses
- Perform competitive analyses that will:
- measure the competitive intensity on the country market;
- understand the competitors' strategy and know their key success factors.
- Identify the company’s competitive advantages to develop;
Country Representation
Represent Newpharma in the country, incl. in the press and during PR events
