**IT Coordinator**
**POSITION PURPOSE**
To ensure the professional and effective running of the day-to-day technology operation in accordance with all Brand Service, Global and Divisional Technology Standards and in line with Marriott Policies and Procedures. For this role, we are looking for an energetic, result driven and eager-to-learn personality that appreciates a hotel is running all about our customers.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Take an active role in positively supporting the operations of the hotel, where guest
- impacting issues get the highest priority. Troubleshoot and repair technical problems or issues related to computer hardware and peripheral equipment. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to resolve business problems.
- Assist in maintaining, implementing, and adhering to all Marriott standard policies, systems and procedures relating to technology operations and systems contingency planning.
- Ensure all security, data-protection and data-privacy requirements are met to the best level possible, including but not limited to back-ups, internal checklists etc.
- Ensure smooth technology operations for all associates and assist in ensuring all guest-facing technologies meet service level agreements with external suppliers. Refer major hardware/software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Provide on-call duties as required.
**SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Excellent English (French and Dutch are a plus) communication skills required, both written & verbally
- Understanding of general hotel operations and hotel specific software
- Understanding of Microsoft OS (both desktop and Server) and Office suites
- Knowledge in network switching (Cisco, HP...)
- Highly motivated and naturally curious while the ability to perform the job duties well, even in the presence of stress
- Must be a team player but must be able to work individually
- Maintain, update, and file all inventories and documentations required for audits and reviews
- Basic project and vendor management skills
- Basic knowledge of voice and PBX
