Our client, boasts a team of highly skilled professionals essential to its success. To further strengthen their finance department, they are seeking a detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant for their office in Leuven. In this role, you will be crucial for financial analysis and reporting for the EMEA region.

As part of the finance team, you will report to the Finance Manager and oversee month-end closures, ensuring accurate financial reporting while collaborating closely with the finance team to implement best practices. Your key responsibilities will include leading the **month-end close** processes to provide accurate and timely **group reporting**, streamlining financial procedures through standardization and automation, and collaborating with **EMEA finance teams** to establish shared services and implement best practices. You will manage local versus **IFRS reporting **variances, prepare variance analyses, and ensure accurate accruals.

Additionally, you will coordinate internal and external audit requests, oversee the preparation and filing of statutory accounts, and assist the Finance Manager with transfer pricing documentation and other statutory or tax-related matters. You will also provide ad hoc financial analyses and support business controlling teams with insights on the balance sheet.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field, along with at least five years of accounting experience and a strong background in tax and audit processes, preferably in an international environment. A solid knowledge of **Belgian GAAP and IFRS **reporting standards is essential, as well as proficiency in **ERP **systems. Strong analytical skills and hands-on financial experience are a must. You should be organized, flexible, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, while maintaining a broad perspective and ensuring accuracy in details. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
