We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Specialist with a focus on statutory compliance and expertise in financial Research and Development (R&D) project management.

**Responsibilities**:
Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international financial regulations and standards (BE-GAAP, IFRS).
- You can stay abreast of changes in financial legislation and update internal processes accordingly.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports accurately and within deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address regulatory inquiries and audits.

Financial R&D Project Management:

- Oversee the financial aspects of Research and Development projects from initiation to completion.
- Work closely with project teams to develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met, and project submission deadlines are met.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Report cash flow impact.
- Provide financial guidance and support to project managers and teams.
- Monitor project financial performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, considering all financial aspects and potential risks.
- Could you collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for accurate budgeting and forecasting?
- Regularly update financial forecasts based on project progress and changes in scope.

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and present financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and integrity for reporting purposes.
- Analyze financial trends and provide insights to support decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with various departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing financial information as needed.
- Foster a culture of financial transparency and accountability within the organization.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial management, statutory compliance, and R&D project finance.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and project management methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in financial software (MS Dynamics, OneStream) and Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in Dutch and English languages.
