Are you an experienced energy professional with a passion for sales and costumer engagement who can drive and grow our markets in Belgium, The Netherlands and beyond while at the same time playing a crucial role in furthering the transition into renewable energy sources and help us reach our Net Zero goal? Centrica’s Net Zero team is looking for an outstanding and commercial individual to take on a Sales Manager role in our fast-growing, early stage DSR & Smart Energy business.
Reporting to the European Business Manager, Demand Side Response & Smart Energy, you will be responsible for successfully managing, executing, developing and growing B2B2C partnership accounts in Europe, initially focusing on Belgium and the Netherlands with a view to expand across European territories in the longer term.
**You**
You will bring a unique blend of business acumen, solid technical understanding of IoT, Demand Side Response and software and services, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced international organization and communicate with stakeholders at senior level.
You can have various different backgrounds but we imagine that you have:
- Minimum of 3 years commercial, partnership management, client facing project management or business development experience in the technology or energy sector
- Awareness and understanding of the energy market and the transition to a Net Zero economy
- Ability to learn about products at a technical level
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
- B2B2C customer focused and the ability to think through the value chain to the end consumer.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage with others
It is essential that you are fluent in English both written and verbal. It would also be an advantage if you are fluent in Dutch, French or German.
To be successful you should be able to work autonomously and use your team player skills to liaise with various parts of the Centrica group of businesses. Moreover, you are never satisfied with the status quo, can show success in following-up and getting things done and have the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
You will directly contribute to a rapidly growing volume of flexible devices connected to our VPPs and resulting revenue generation via balancing and reserve services to the grid, license and service fees and sales of Hive IoT hardware.
**The role**
As our new Sales Manager you will take ownership, lead and account manage signed B2B2C partnerships, and service agreements while managing, developing and growing relationships with B2B2C partners and customers to deliver exceptional service, compliance and problem solving.
You will work closely with technology & operational teams, trading teams, legal, compliance and regulatory teams along with other stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from business development to contract execution and revenue generation for B2B2C customers. To do this you will build and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Furthermore, you will execute and account manage B2B2C DSR partnership and service agreements covering the full DSR service lifecycle including, commercial and technical feasibility, lab/field trials, software and hardware integration, compliance and service prequalification, go-to market and volume growth. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for updating the business unit leadership on a regular basis on account progress against signed contracts including renewals, variations and new opportunities.
This role will be based out of our office in Antwerp.
