**Data Analyst**

**What does the position of Data Analyst entail?**

You will have access to an incredible amount of information from various databases

('data lake'): think consumer data, streaming data, artist portals, sales data, music

charts, social media etc. You will connect, process, extract, analyse and present this

data. In doing so, you will make a crucial contribution to the brainstorming, creation and

implementation of critical business solutions for a wide range of stakeholders across the

organisation. These stakeholders include Senior Management, as well as within our

Digital Strategy, Streaming, Marketing, A&R and Finance departments.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Collect, connect, process, extract data from the various available sources, design

and create proprietary data models;
- Translating the analyses into targeted, understandable advice, answers and

substantiation;
- Presenting analyses and conclusions to various parties at various levels

(employees, management, artists);
- Making analyses of our campaigns, recognising trends, drawing up reports of our

(digital) retailers, providing insight into the actual results;
- Identifying consumer/partner trends, including but not limited to user

engagement, listening behaviour, conversion, retention, revenue generation per

stream/user, genre insights, and many others;
- Searching for and finding signals and trends that contribute to our organisation

and our goals;
**What do we ask?**
- You have minimum a completed bachelor's degree. For example, direction:
Machine Learning, Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or

Economics.
- Three to five years of experience in a comparable position (experience in the

music industry is considered an advantage).
- Fluency in a querying language (SQL, Hadoop/Hive)
- Experience in working with large quantities of data from different product groups

and business functions
- Experience of cloud computing, ideally GCP with experience of uploading and

creating tables of data within these platforms and optimizing tables for use by

visualisation and BI tools.
- Desirable: Knowledge in scripting or computing language (Python, R).
- Desirable: Experience in the streaming media industry or other subscription-based

service.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a clear commercial approach.
- A team player with a highly structured and planned work attitude combined with a

creative and flexible mindset.
- You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch, French and English and of course a

passion for music.
