Medical Information Specialist Benelux

We are looking for an enthusiastic **Medical Information Specialist Benelux** who has a passion for patient health outcomes and a drive to support patients’ and HCPs’ (HealthCare Professionals) to come join our dynamic **Medical Affairs Team **to be based in the Netherlands or Belgium.

**About the role**

As the **Medical Information Specialist** you understand patients’ and HCPs’ needs and offer answers and solutions in accordance with UCBCares service and Patient Experience values within the established compliance and integrity frameworks. You make the patient feel understood and supported through human-centered communication and are willing to ‘go the extra mile’ in providing the best possible service. A small part of the role is related to “Patient Experience” activities across all country Patient Value Units (PVUs) in Benelux. You will support in the identification, development and implementation of (local) PEx initiatives/ patient solutions.

**Who you’ll work with**:
You are part of the UCBCares ABN Team. UCBCares is UCB’s dedicated service providing support to patients and healthcare professionals throughout the treatment journey (ABN = Alps, Benelux and Nordics). You will work closely with the Medical Information Specialist Nordics (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland) and with the Medical Information colleagues in the Alpine countries (Austria Switzerland). If necessary, you will provide support in answering questions received for the Nordics and the Alps. A close cooperation with the European UCBCares and PEX communities and with Global Medical Information department is needed to be regularly informed and trained on products and solutions, and to share insights drawn from conversations with patients and other stakeholders.

**What will you do**:

- Engage with patients. Follow up on patient calls in case it was agreed upon with patients
- Complete registration of all incoming requests in UCB’s Enquiry Intake System
- Contribute to the UCBCares EU community by sharing experiences with the group and participation in special projects. And gather and share patient insights (and success stories) with the functional and cross-functional team and with the UCBCares EU community
- Communicate findings and insights in a confident way and follow-up on actions with relevant stakeholders
- Interact closely across the functional and cross-functional team within the different PVUs (Immunology (including osteoporosis), Neurology and Established Brands (EB) to be updated on new product information and data
- Collaborate closely with the UCBCares EU engine, PEx EU engine, local PV and QA department, Supply Chain, Global Medical Information and wider teams to work on best solutions for patients

**I**nterested?** **For this position you’ll need the following** **education, experience **and **skills**:

- University/Bachelors in Life Sciences with experience in a pharma company in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. With strong presentation skills in the required languages: ENG, NL and FR
- Outstanding listening skills to understand (facts-based as well as emotional) patient needs, gain maximum insights and build trust
- High service approach. Excellent understanding of customer service approach and patient centricity, strong social skills to build up generative and trustful relationships with colleagues and patients alike
- Ability to apprehend and provide patient-relevant information in a clear and understandable way that helps reassure and empower patients
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, ability to work with mínimal supervision and actively execute tasks within defined objectives.
- A driven, energetic individual who is curious, a pro-active learner and has a will to exceed patients’ expectations.
