They are currently recruiting for Senior Project Manager to be based in Hoboken, Belgium .Context of the missionThe Precious Metals Refining (PMR) department produces solutions based on base and precious metals. At our Hoboken site, we are investing heavily to meet changing processes and legislation.Project DescriptionAs Project Manager, you will manage the projects assigned to you from A to Z. This will be a combination of larger and smaller projects, including both new initiatives and expansions.Primary tasks & responsibilitiesWithin the Project Engineering department, you will set up and lead technical industrial projects, from idea to realization. These projects are carried out for production facilities, infrastructure, and R&D. We have different type of projects within different disciplines.Some projects are in the start-up phase, some projects are already ongoing.You are ultimately responsible for all aspects of your project:- Responsible for defining the project scope. In consultation with the client:o Defining specific deliverables: what is complete when the project is finished?o Defining constraints (budget, planning).- Responsible for assembling and leading the project team.- Responsible for the technical design of the entire project.- Responsible for preparing specifications / tender documents for orders, engineering firms, and contractors (both internal and external).- Responsible for the selection of orders, engineering firms, and contractors. Also consider specific resources, e.g., designers, but also outsourcing (part) projects.- Directing and monitoring all resources, both internal and external.- Maintaining contact with the client throughout the project to capture and assess changes. If agreed upon, implementing them in the project (scope changes).- Reporting to stakeholders.Technical Profile Requirements:- Master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or metallurgical) or equivalent through experienceo Minimum degree: industrial engineero Relevant experience in the sector, preferably in chemistry/metallurgy/machine construction- Background as a (project) engineer- Ability to read and draw P&IDs- Strong technical insight = absolute minimum requirementCertifications- VCA-VolNon-Technical Profile Requirements:- You take initiative As Project Manager you are the leader managing your stakeholders, teams, contractors)- Team player, communicative at all levels (clients, colleagues, suppliers, higher management...). You can manage and coach a team.- You have broad experience and great interest in technology, engineering, and project management.Language proficiencies- Fluent in DutchContract- long term collaboration- first contract minimum 6 months, TBC
