FA FUNCTIONAL ANALYST UML BPMN DATAMODEL PM AGILE On behalf of our client operating in the public sector, we are looking for an IT Functional Analyst (10+ years of experience) to contribute to a strategic transformation program aimed at evolving a legacy monolithic application into a microservices-based architecture, including the functional integration of external ICT modules.In this role, you will analyze functional impacts, define business requirements, and act as a liaison between business and IT teams during the migration to a microservices-based, message-driven architecture.Responsibilities:Analyze and document business processes, functional requirements, and information flows, ensuring alignment with the enterprise information system and target microservices architecture.Define and maintain functional and logical data models, supporting the migration of legacy data toward a microservices-based, message-driven target landscape.Ensure that functional requirements and non-functional constraints (security, performance, compliance, resilience) are clearly captured, validated with stakeholders, and consistently applied across solutions.Provide end-to-end functional support throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements elicitation and functional analysis to testing, deployment, and production support.Act as a key functional liaison between business stakeholders, architects, and development teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications.Produce and maintain high-quality functional documentation (requirements, use cases, data mappings, impact analyses) and contribute to governance activities such as design reviews and steering committees.Qualifications:At least 10 years of experience as an IT Functional Analyst or in a similar role, with strong exposure to data-driven and application architecture in large, complex information systems.Strong expertise in functional and data modelling, supporting the transition from monolithic applications to microservices-based architectures.Good understanding of modern application and integration architectures (APIs, messaging, DevOps, security standards) and the ability to work closely with technical teams.You can work in a multilingual environment, enabling both Dutch and French speaking colleagues to communicate in their own language.About us:Aubay is an international IT services agency founded in 1998 who advises companies on their digital transformation.
