QA Manager

For one of our clients in the Data Center Industry, we are looking for a QA Manager to establish, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System, ensuring that all works associated with the data centre substation are delivered in full compliance with contractual requirements, applicable standards, client specifications, and regulatory obligations. The role is critical to ensuring first-time-right delivery, minimising rework, and supporting safe, reliable energisation of the substation.Your ResponsabilitiesQuality Management & GovernanceDevelop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with ISO 9001 and project requirementsIntegrate the QMS across all disciplines: civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and commissioningMaintain controlled procedures for document control, inspections, testing, NCRs, and continuous improvementProvide quality reporting and ensure risks are identified, communicated, and managedDesign & Technical AssuranceCoordinate quality reviews of design deliverables against client, utility, and international standards (IEC, EN, BS, IEEE)Manage and verify interfaces between primary plant, secondary systems, protection, control, and SCADASupport design risk reviews and constructability assessments from a quality perspectiveConstruction Quality ControlEstablish and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all substation worksVerify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statementsImplement and control hold points, witness points, and inspection sign-offsSupplier & Subcontractor QualityReview and approve subcontractor and supplier Quality Plans, ITPs, and proceduresMonitor performance through audits, inspections, and surveillancePlan, witness, and document FATs and SATsManage quality requirements for long-lead items (transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems)Non-Conformance & Corrective ActionsManage the NCR process including logging, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actionsVerify close-out of NCRs and track trends to drive proactive improvementsTesting, Commissioning & HandoverEnsure testing and commissioning activities follow approved procedures and ITPsVerify accuracy and completeness of test records, certificates, and compliance documentationLead quality input to walkdowns, punch-list management, and energisation readinessEnsure final handover documentation (as-builts, O&M manuals, test packs) is complete and approvedAudits & Continuous ImprovementPlan and conduct internal audits and support client, utility, and external certification auditsMonitor quality KPIs and report performance to project and senior managementCapture lessons learned and promote best practices for future projectsInterface & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary quality interface with clients, utilities, grid operators, and independent certifiersCoordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and HSE teams to support aligned project deliveryYour ProfileStrong experience in HV substations, preferably within data centre environments.Detailed understanding of HV primary and secondary systems.Working knowledge of ISO 9001, utility standards, and grid compliance requirements.Proven ability to manage quality across EPC or multi-contractor projects.Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Our Offer: We offer a permanent contract and an attractive salary package.
