You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality data pipelines, models, and analytics solutions.You will apply modern data engineering practices, automated testing, and solid cloud architecture principles to help our client unlock the full potential of their data platform.Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related fieldLanguages: Written & spoken fluency in Dutch AND English (mandatory)Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering, including cloud-based data platformsAzure Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data FactoryAzure Databricks: Proven experience designing and optimizing data pipelines and analytics workloads using Azure DatabricksSpark/PySpark: Strong ability to develop and optimize distributed data processing jobs in DatabricksSQL: Advanced proficiency in complex SQL queries, performance optimization, and large-scale datasetsData Quality & Migration: Experience ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in complex data migration or modernization projectsETL/ELT Development: Expertise in designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume and diverse data sourcesSoft Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teamsMobility: Ability to work on-site within 1h travel time from Brussels when requiredPreferred SkillsExperience with Power BI or other data visualization toolsFamiliarity with CI/CD practices for data platformsExposure to real-time or streaming data solutions (e.g., Event Hubs, Kafka)Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS or GCP exposure is a plus)Relevant Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Databricks certificationsWhat You'll DoCore ExpertiseCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders to assess data needs and design efficient Azure-based data solutionsDevelop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks, Spark, and SQLImplement automated data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring frameworksTechnical ImplementationDesign and optimize scalable data models and analytics layers on AzureIntegrate and process large datasets using Azure DatabricksEnsure solutions meet high standards for performance, scalability, security, and maintainabilityResearch and InnovationStay up to date with advancements in Azure, Databricks, and modern data engineering practicesProactively suggest improvements in architecture, automation, and governanceProject ManagementContribute to or lead data engineering initiatives from design to productionCollaborate with data scientists, architects, and analysts to deliver end-to-end data solutions supporting analytics and operational intelligenceWhy Join Us?Be Part of the Solver Community: Join a team where collaboration, curiosity, and problem-solving are at the heart of everything we do.
