Our client:Founded in 1971 in Belgium, the Quick Group is one of the first fast-food chains of European origin. Over the decades, the brand has expanded in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France, becoming a key player in the sector. Its iconic Giant burger, commitment to innovation, and focus on quality have helped shape a strong and recognizable identity.Under the legal direction of the Quick Group (based in France), and as part of the brand's international development, the (Senior) Legal Counsel Belgium will advise and support teams regarding the legal security of the company's operations (commercial contracts, master franchise agreements) and ensure the protection and enhancement of the company's brand portfolio.Function:The role includes the following responsibilities:Business Law & ContractsDrafting and monitoring franchise and master franchise agreementsAnalysing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and conventionsEnsuring legal security of various contracts and proposing solutionsProviding legal support and advice to operational departments (IP, contracts, distribution, competition, marketing, development)Corporate LawDrafting legal documentation related to management decisions and regular/special activities of the Belgian subsidiary (general meetings, board meetings, written consultations, etc.)Managing regular and exceptional corporate secretarial dutiesHandling and monitoring legal formalities for the subsidiaryMaintaining and updating legal documentation (registers, statutes, etc.)Intellectual PropertyDeveloping, protecting, defending, and enhancing the brand portfolio with support from partner law firms (priority searches, filings, monitoring, renewals)Analysing and drafting IP-related contracts (brand license agreements, coexistence agreements, NDAs)Managing pre-litigation matters (risk assessment, case preparation, opposition files, drafting cease-and-desist letters, responses to offices, settlement agreements) and overseeing litigation procedures (counterfeiting, parasitism, unfair competition)Insurance LawSupporting cost/coverage optimization and contract management for the Group's insurance policiesLaunching tenders, participating in negotiations, and implementing new insurance contracts for all Group entitiesMonitoring insurance contracts, annual reviews, negotiations, and claims management.Profile:Do you have a Master's in Belgian law and 5+ years' experience in a company or law firm specializing in business law? Other requirements:Strong knowledge of commercial law, especially franchise lawAutonomous with strong adaptabilityAnalytical and synthesis skillsKnown for responsiveness, rigor, discretion, and organizational skillsExcellent command of French, Dutch (one as native language), and EnglishOffer:Position based in central Brussels, easily accessible by public transportRegular travel to ParisAttractive and competitive salary package
