Job title: Business Project manager officer Location: Brussels, BelgiumLanguages: French and EnglishContract Duration:ASAP-31/05/2026Work Mode: Part time(3/5) and HybridJob Description:As part of the Client transformation, and in response to the critical issues identified in the organization's strategic axes, it is necessary to temporarily strengthen the leadership of the Project Management and Support Competence Center (cross-functional IT department).This mission is part of an approach to securing the delivery of priority projects and developing the skills and commitment of the teams, pending the recruitment of a new employee.Reporting to the Director of the Cross-Functional IT Department, the Business Project Management Officer will temporarily assume full responsibility for the Project Management and Support Competency Center, composed of:28 project managers + 6 program managers4 PSO employeesApproximately 50 active projects (developments, packages, studies, infrastructure, public procurement)PRIORITY OBJECTIVES:Operational management and stabilizationCapacity and Demand ManagementCrisis resolution, priority projectsIncrease in methodological maturityOptimization of the O10C methodology (based on PRINCE2)Audit current practices and identify methodological compliance gapsSupporting project managers in the rigorous application of standards (risks, quality, planning)Team Transformation and Development Skills developmentIdentify training needs (new technologies, Agile, Low Code)Design and deploy a coaching program for project managers and program managers.Culture et engagementTo embody the values of transparency, commitment and personal developmentCreating a climate of trust that fosters autonomy and accountabilityImprove internal communication (team, department, cross-functional)Governance and continuous improvementPropose improvements to the processes, tools and governance of the Competence CenterDocumenting best practices and lessons learnedPreparing for the transition to a permanent manager (skills transfer)Professional experienceMinimum 10 years of experience in managing complex IT projectsMinimum 6 years of experience in managing project teams (>20 people)In-depth knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile/hybrid methodologiesExperience in a public or regulated sector environment (a major asset)Methodological skillsAdvanced mastery of project, program and portfolio managementKnowledge of ITIL principles (IT service management)Experience with project management tools (Sciforma, MS Project, Jira/Confluence)Knowledge of public procurement principles and budget managementSkillsAgileConfluenceITILJiraMS ProjectPRINCE2SciformaScreening QuestionsDo you have Minimum 6 years of experience in managing project teams (>20 people)?Do you have knowledge of the principles of public procurement and budget management?Do you have experience in a public or regulated sector environment?
