Role Overview<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

We are seeking a highly experienced Freelance Lead Digital Workplace Engineer to develop and lead strategies, design, and implementation of a modern Digital Workplace. You will work closely with C\-level stakeholders, manage internal IT services, coordinate external suppliers, and drive user\-centric digital transformation initiatives across collaboration tools, end\-user computing, and networking environments.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Strategy & Leadership<\/span><\/b>:<\/span>
<\/li> Define and implement the digital workplace strategy aligned with business goals<\/span>
<\/li> Lead cross\-functional teams in delivering scalable and secure digital workplace solutions<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul> Design & Implementation<\/span><\/b>:<\/span>
<\/li> Architect and oversee the rollout of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools including Teams<\/b>, SharePoint<\/b>, and OneDrive<\/b><\/span>
<\/li> Drive integration of end\-user devices (laptops, mobile devices, peripherals) and ensure seamless user experience<\/span>
<\/li> Implement and manage modern endpoint management solutions (e.g., Intune, SCCM)<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul> Stakeholder Management<\/span><\/b>:<\/span>
<\/li> Engage with C\-level stakeholders<\/b> to gather requirements, provide updates, and align on strategic direction<\/span>
<\/li> Translate business needs into technical solutions that deliver value<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul> Supplier & Contract Management<\/span><\/b>:<\/span>
<\/li> Manage external IT partners and service providers to ensure high\-quality service delivery<\/span>
<\/li> Lead or support contract negotiations<\/b> and service level agreement (SLA) discussions<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul> Operational Excellence<\/span><\/b>:<\/span>
<\/li> Manage internal digital workplace services ensuring performance, security, and compliance<\/span>
<\/li> Monitor and support network infrastructure in collaboration with the network engineering team<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul> <\/ul>

Required Skills & Experience<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Proven experience (5+ years) in leading Digital Workplace initiatives in mid to large\-scale environments<\/span>
<\/li> Expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration suite (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online)<\/span>
<\/li> Strong experience with endpoint management (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM) and device lifecycle management<\/span>
<\/li> Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and dependencies in digital workplace environments<\/span>
<\/li> Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, including executive\-level communication<\/span>
<\/li> Experience managing third\-party vendors and IT contracts<\/span>
<\/li> Familiarity with hybrid working environments, remote support, and security best practices<\/span>

Preferred Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Certifications in Microsoft 365, Modern Desktop, or similar<\/span>
<\/li> Bilingual: English + French or Dutch<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul>
