Key Responsibilities & Opportunities

We will mainly ask you to:

• Be responsible for food and plant-based meat preparation, with the director's support

• Lead the service, while coordinating the operative kitchen team

• Ensure consistent product quality, focusing on superior taste and smart presentation

• Contribute to menu development by bringing creative, actionable recipe ideas to life

• Maintain product quality, focusing on superior taste and smart presentation

• Support and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring their growth and development within the team

• Ensure smooth daily operations by collaborating with the kitchen team

• Deliver our proprietary plant-based meat to our client restaurants in Antwerp

• Lead and/or conduct free food sampling, to engage and attract restaurant clients

• Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations, keeping the kitchen safe and compliant

If desired, you will have the opportunity to:

• Propose and test new ideas that enhance the kitchen's workflow and food quality

• Engage in and learn within products sourcing negotiations and supplier relations

• Collaborate with the director to optimize recipes in line with food cost objectives

• Contribute to content creation for our online presence in ideation, definition and execution

 
Your Expertise

• 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie, Line Chef or in a similar role

• You are eligible to legally work in Antwerp

• You have sharp attention to detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind

• You have speed and pragmatism in handling day-to-day kitchen operations

• You have a professional approach suitable for working in an open kitchen environment

• You have the enthusiasm to thrive in a startup setting, where flexibility and adaptability are key

• You have a collaborative mindset and are willing to work as a part of a team

• You have the ability to balance hard work with a sense of fun, knowing when to push and to enjoy the moment

• You are genuinely interested in exploring and evolving within the role
