Project
- The DECOM project aims to reduce dependency on the mainframe by migrating BNG, BCE (KBO), and other police data to a modern, open architecture. This migration makes this data more easily accessible to applications such as Police search, analysis solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), and intelligence-based policing (ILP).
- PHP- and C-based applications play an important role in this. The consultant is part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of internal and external employees.
Mission
The consultant is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and improving PHP and C solutions within the organization's information and communication systems.
Main tasks:
- Designing, developing, and testing applications based on functional and technical analyses
- Monitoring the quality and further development of PHP and C applications in a high-availability environment
- Analyzing user needs in collaboration with functional analysts
- Monitoring technological developments and formulating technical advice
- Proposals for improvements and adjustments to existing solutions and projects
- Drafting and maintaining technical documentation
- Maintenance and technical support of applications

- Basic knowledge of Linux RedHAT server environments
- Good knowledge of network protocols (in particular TCP/IP)
- Knowledge regarding the use of web services (REST, SOAP) from an application written in PHP or
- Knowledge of environments such as Angular JS, Ajax, jQuery, various PHP frameworks (CodeIgniter), GIT, DEVO
- PHP 5.6, PHP 7 and PHP 8, Javascript, C#, Xamarin
- Programming in C at the server level, including asynchronous programming (threads)
