Description of the mission - context and purpose

  • Within the Service Center for Accountable Integrated Applications (CS AIR) of the Client and in close collaboration with the quality unit, the senior test coordinator intervenes to reinforce the existing test teams. It provides methodological and operational expertise on end-to-end journeys that cross several applications, service providers, administrations or third-party organizations.
  • The mission focuses primarily on the Vehicle and digital road sticker domains. The expert may be mobilized on other tax matters requiring cross-functional tests with third-party organizations, authentic sources, partner platforms or external systems.
  • The expert does not replace application test coordinators, program managers, or service providers. It completes their systems, supports cross-functional scenarios that go beyond an application domain and secures the overall sequence of validations.
  • The aim is to demonstrate, with supporting evidence, that inter-organisational chains operate end-to-end under representative conditions, that incidents are detectable and controllable and that residual risks are explicitly presented before any decision to put them into production.

Main activities

  • Familiarize yourself with existing strategies and test plans, assess their cross-functional consistency and propose the necessary complements.
  • Identify critical E2E journeys involving multiple applications, vendors, or third-party organizations and formalize nominal, alternative, degraded, and recovery scenarios.
  • Build and maintain the mapping of actors, applications, interfaces, service contracts, data exchanged, responsibilities and test dependencies.
  • Define the specific strategy for cross-functional and interoperability testing: scope, coverage, sequencing, environments, datasets, input and output criteria, and expected evidence.
  • Prepare with existing test coordinators a consolidated campaign plan, building on their application plans without replacing them.
  • Organize campaigns with third-party organizations: contact availability, test windows, data, and escalation channels.
  • Participate directly in the design, preparation and, when necessary, execution or supervision of the most critical E2E scenarios.
  • Verify traceability between business processes, requirements, interfaces, test cases, data, results, anomalies, and proof of execution.
  • Coordinate the analysis of transversal anomalies, facilitate the identification of the system or the responsible actor and follow up on corrections and retests until closure.
  • Consolidate the results produced by the various teams and third-party organizations into a single, readable, evidence-based report.
  • Alert on gaps in coverage, insecure dependencies, and risks that could affect service, revenue, compliance, or users.
  • Formulate an independent recommendation, objectively based on the results, to recommend a Go or No Go for the programme coordination and decision-making bodies.

Positioning and articulation with existing roles

  • The Senior Expert carries the consistency and proof of E2E cross-functional tests involving several domains or third-party organizations.
  • Existing test coordinators remain responsible for the detailed strategy, test cases, testers, anomalies, and results of their application or domain.
  • The expert relies on their work, identifies the connections between domains, completes the missing scenarios and organizes the coordinated execution of the transversal chains.
  • Service providers remain responsible for the quality of their deliveries, their internal tests, the associated evidence and the correction of anomalies within their scope.
  • Business managers, product owners, and functional experts remain responsible for business requirements, rules, acceptance criteria, and approvals.
  • Third-party organizations remain responsible for their environments, data, services, and validations within the agreed limits.
  • Program managers and sponsors arbitrate priorities and make production release decisions based on the consolidated report.

Minimum experience expected

  • At least ten years of experience in quality assurance, test management or validation of complex information systems.
  • Significant experience in E2E and interoperability testing involving multiple organizations, vendors, applications, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior advisory and coordination role with already established test teams.
  • Ability to design and supervise scenarios covering back-office exchanges and chains.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing test data, ...
  • Experience in managing cross-functional anomalies, inter-team diagnosis and monitoring multi-stakeholder corrective plans.
  • Experience in producing campaign reports and Go/No Go recommendations for decision-making bodies.
  • Experience in a regulated environment is a strong asset.

Expected deliverables

  • Initial diagnosis of the cross-functional testing system and prioritised reinforcement plan.
  • Mapping of actors, systems, interfaces, data, responsibilities and dependencies.
  • Cross-functional testing and reusable interoperability strategy for several tax matters.
  • Consolidated campaign plan with milestones, partner windows, prerequisites, responsibilities,....
  • Catalog of critical E2E scenarios, including alternate, degraded, rework, and reconciliation cases.
  • Traceability matrix between processes, requirements, flows, test cases, results, anomalies and evidence.
  • E2E test campaign preparation files.
  • Consolidated dashboard of progress, coverage, anomalies, retests, dependencies, and risks.
  • E2E and interoperability campaign reports, along with proof of execution.
  • Recommendations of Go/No Go or Go under conditions with residual risks, liabilities and compensatory measures.
