We work together as one firm to deliver exceptional advice in some of the most progressive areas in industry, on an international scale. This is what we're known for, and this is what sets us apart. For you, this is an opportunity to work in an inspiring environment where people are passionate about their work
- and trusted to deliver. But it's also a place where you can be yourself. We take pride in having a supportive work environment where people are respected as professionals and individuals
- and celebrated for the difference they bring. You'll be joining at a momentous time, as we build on our international reach and our strategy to become the leading global firm for organisations 'changed by or creating technology'. Here you will work on deals and projects that are as challenging as they are enjoyable, with people who are not only leaders and experts, but exciting to work with. Bird & Bird in Asia-Pacific We have been guiding our clients in Asia Pacific for over thirty years, helping them to navigate the legal and regulatory landscape to achieve their business goals. During this time we have established a network of offices and now have teams in the key business centres of Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. We support our clients in other jurisdictions through our extensive network of trusted law firms many of whom we have worked with for a considerable time. Our full service offering across the region is provided by a team of over 200 highly qualified and multi-lingual lawyers, many of whom have worked in industry, allowing us to advise with an understanding of the environment in which our clients operate. Our Internship, Training Contract and Application Process The Hong Kong office will recruit up to three trainee solicitors to start in September 2029. We welcome applications from graduates across a wide range of disciplines. We look for well-rounded individuals who thrive in our environment. Successful candidates will be outgoing, articulate, and good team players who are genuinely motivated to develop their careers in law. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews with our Graduate Recruitment Team. Eight candidates will be selected to a four-week summer internship programme, commencing in either June or July 2027. Subject to work performance and vacancy, up to three summer interns will be offered a 2-year training contract commencing in September 2029. This summer internship is an opportunity for you to experience a real work environment and gain insight into the life of a modern forward thinking commercial law firm
- from the people, the environment and the different aspects of our work. During the summer internship, you will have the opportunity to rotate across different practice areas: corporate, commercial, intellectual property, dispute resolution or employment. You will not only be actively involved in the work carried out within the department but also attend in-house seminars and meet colleagues at every level of the firm.
