Transversal Business Analyst
Mission context
The mission of the Business Analyst is to drive the development and continuous optimization of solutions for business customers and users. By combining business analysis, product discovery and data-driven decision-making, the Digital Business Analyst helps identify customer and business needs, validate opportunities, define valuable solutions and ensure successful delivery.
For this mission, we are specifically looking for an experienced Transversal Business Analyst who can take ownership of initiatives and business opportunities that span multiple products, processes, domains or teams and cannot be managed within the boundaries of a single squad or cluster. The role requires strong stakeholder and project coordination skills to drive alignment, structure and delivery across complex environments, including interaction with key control functions such as Compliance, Legal and Risk.
The Transversal Business Analyst operates across organizational boundaries, brings the right stakeholders together and creates clarity in complex or initially ambiguous environments. The role connects strategic objectives, customer needs, business processes and delivery considerations, turning transversal challenges into a clear scope, aligned approach and actionable roadmap.
Experience in digital client onboarding, KYC and related regulatory processes within a professional banking environment is considered a strong asset.
Key responsibilities
• Takes end-to-end ownership of transversal initiatives, from initial framing and stakeholder alignment through analysis, decision-making and delivery follow-up.
• Leads the discovery and assessment of new business ideas and opportunities before they become formal initiatives. This includes clarifying the problem or opportunity, exploring possible approaches, assessing customer and business value, identifying dependencies and preparing recommendations for decision-making.
• Structures complex and ambiguous topics by defining the scope, objectives, expected outcomes, governance, stakeholders, dependencies and high-level delivery approach.
• Coordinates across multiple business and delivery domains, ensuring that different perspectives, requirements and constraints are understood and incorporated into a coherent solution.
• Builds and maintains strong stakeholder alignment across squads, clusters, business domains, product management, process teams, IT and other relevant partners.
• Identifies, evaluates and recommends feasible solution options, balancing customer value, business impact, strategic alignment, cost, risk, operational impact and implementation constraints.
• Translates transversal business needs into clear capabilities, requirements and deliverables, while ensuring that detailed feature ownership remains embedded within the responsible squads or product teams.
• Prepares decision-making material and recommendations for senior stakeholders and governance bodies, including opportunity assessments, business cases, impact analyses, roadmaps and implementation scenarios.
• Actively manages cross-team dependencies, risks and open decisions, escalating where necessary and ensuring sufficient ownership across the involved teams.
• Supports squads or clusters by exception when an initiative requires temporary transversal coordination or additional ownership because of complexity, dependencies or capacity constraints.
• Leads product discovery and business analysis activities, including customer journey mapping, opportunity assessment, concept validation, MVP definition, mock-ups, business-case preparation and decision-making material.
• Supports implementation and adoption by clarifying business requirements, facilitating alignment during delivery and testing, and coordinating the resolution of transversal business issues. Preferred qualifications and competencies
• Transversal ownership: Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of complex initiatives involving multiple teams, domains and stakeholders.
• Strategic and conceptual thinking: Ability to connect strategic objectives with customer needs, business processes and delivery realities, translating complex topics into clear choices and actionable recommendations.
• Discovery and opportunity assessment: Experience in exploring business ideas, structuring ambiguous opportunities and developing fact-based recommendations before formal project initiation.
• Stakeholder leadership: Strong facilitation, communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across stakeholders with different priorities.
• Agile and adaptive mindset: Ability to work iteratively, adjust the approach as new insights emerge and bridge business needs with tangible customer value.
• Data-driven approach: Strong analytical skills and the ability to use qualitative and quantitative insights to assess opportunities, compare options and support decision-making.
• Autonomy and initiative: Proactive and self-directed, comfortable creating structure and momentum in topics where the scope, governance or solution is not yet fully defined. Mandatory business experience
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional or cross-domain initiatives.
• Experience working with multiple teams and senior stakeholders in a complex organization.

• Ability to coordinate dependencies and create alignment without direct hierarchical authority.
• Experience managing digital initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring and closure to ensure they meet business objectives and deadlines.
• Ability to run productive meetings, facilitate workshops and work collaboratively across organizational boundaries. Preferable business experience
• Exerience with enterprise-wide digital capabilities, shared services or transversal business processes.
• Experience in early-stage discovery, opportunity assessment or strategic business analysis.
• Broad understanding of financial-services products, processes and digital ecosystems.
• Experience with concept design, customer or user testing and innovation.
• Proficiency in using data insights to support business decisions. Key soft skills
