Then come and join our FSMA team and become a file manager with the perimeter unit
Where will you be working?
You will be working for the Perimeter unit at the FSMA. This service investigates unlawful offers of financial products and services and cases of investment fraud (such as cryptofraud, pyramid schemes and fake loans), and takes the measures necessary to put an end to them.
The Perimeter unit responds to consumers’ reports, publishes warning about companies that are unlawfully active within the territory of Belgium, and offers recommendations to the public.
What will your job entail?
• Engaging in daily contact with consumers and answering their (written) questions about investment fraud; you will be responsible for recording in internal databases the relevant information the unit receives in this process.
• Providing administrative support for the preparation of warnings (drawing up memos, gathering documents, etc.).
• Conducting factual research on dossiers to support the legal staff in the service (analysis of suspicious transactions, OSINT research, searches on social media, etc.).
• Giving general administrative support to other tasks of the service. What knowledge, experience and skills do you bring?
• A bachelor’s diploma (non-university), preferably with a legal practice, banking or financial focus.
• Mastery of Dutch, French and English.
• Affinity with online environments and new technologies (social media, websites, SharePoint, etc.) and a special interest in online research.
• Ability to communicate fluently and clearly with the public.
• Capacity to work smoothly and flexibly as a member of a team.
• Familiarity with various Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to distinguish essential from secondary issues. What do
