Role Overview We are looking for a Business & Project Analyst to support strategic Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation initiatives within a large and complex organisation in the energy sector. The consultant will operate at the intersection of Business and IT, identifying business needs, assessing opportunities for AI and automation, translating requirements into actionable solutions, and coordinating implementation with cross-functional teams. The role requires a senior professional combining Business Analysis, AI/Automation knowledge, Project Management and stakeholder management in a complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse business needs and translate them into clear business and solution requirements.
• Define business expectations and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and implementation/IT teams.
• Identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and challenge the business value and feasibility of AI and automation use cases.
• Apply knowledge of AI technologies within a complex business environment.
• Act as an internal ambassador for AI and automation adoption.
• Coordinate implementation of new technologies through cross-functional projects.
• Support stakeholders throughout analysis, implementation and adoption.
• Train and guide business users to ensure optimal use of implemented solutions.
• Independently drive initiatives while maintaining strong collaboration across Business and IT. Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum 14 years of relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst, Business & Project Analyst, or in a closely comparable role.
• Professional experience with the implementation of Artificial Intelligence within a large organisation. Practical involvement in AI initiatives is important.
• In-depth knowledge of different AI and automation technologies available on the market and their potential business applications.
• Ability to identify, analyse and assess the value of AI and automation use cases based on business needs.
• Strong Business Analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, business needs analysis and translating business expectations into implementable solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Project Management, with experience coordinating technology initiatives involving business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience within a regulated environment is strongly preferred. Exposure to energy, utilities or a Transmission System Operator (TSO) environment is particularly valuable.
• Excellent command of English together with an excellent command of Dutch and/or French.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Commercial Engineering, a Master's degree in Science, or an equivalent degree.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, with strong stakeholder communication and the ability to bridge Business and IT.
