Assets Business Analyst

Description As a Business Analyst within the IT & Digitalization department, you will play a key role in the digital transformation of the Assets organization. The company is pursuing significant improvements in efficiency and quality while supporting the energy transition, the increasing integration of renewable energy sources, and large-scale infrastructure challenges. To achieve these objectives, extensive digitalization of business activities and support functions is required, as well as the harmonization of processes across different entities within the group. The Assets department is primarily responsible for maintaining the high-voltage electricity network and commissioning network expansions. Safety, quality, and efficiency are at the core of all activities. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for designing efficient business processes, capturing business needs, and translating them into specifications for IT systems. You will act as the bridge between business users and IT stakeholders, including functional analysts, project managers, and architects, ensuring alignment and challenging assumptions when necessary. Digitalization Projects The role may involve supporting initiatives such as:
• Digitalization and optimization of maintenance outage planning.
• Digitalization and automation of switching operations on the electricity network.
• Improvement of operational safety processes and supporting ICT applications for field technicians.
• Development of business processes and digital solutions supporting offshore infrastructure maintenance.
• Enhancement of administrative support processes for operational teams, with a focus on SAP-based solutions.
• Other digital transformation initiatives within the Assets domain.

Key Responsibilities
• Model business processes and support stakeholders in redesigning and optimizing them.
• Identify business needs and translate them into clear business requirements, epics, and user stories.
• Challenge stakeholders regarding requirements and target processes.
• Develop business information models supporting future solutions.
• Harmonize business processes across departments and organizational entities.
• Align and validate requirements between business and IT teams.
• Review and validate functional analyses.
• Test and validate releases after implementation.
• Play an active role in change management activities, including training preparation and delivery.
• Support end users during post-implementation phases. Requirements
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch, French, and English.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience in business needs analysis, requirements gathering, and process modeling.
• Master's degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Customer-oriented and flexible mindset.
• Basic knowledge of SAP PM or willingness to acquire it.
• Knowledge of BPMN and UML.
• Experience with Enterprise Architect (EA), Jira, and Azure DevOps/TFS is considered an asset.
• Experience within the energy or utilities sector is a plus.
