About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic regulatory initiatives within a major insurance environment. In this role, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of regulatory projects impacting life insurance products, processes, and systems. You will work at the intersection of Business, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Actuarial, and IT teams, ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into practical and sustainable solutions while maintaining operational efficiency and customer focus. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who combines strong project delivery capabilities with deep regulatory expertise in the Life Insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
• Manage the full lifecycle of regulatory projects, from scoping through implementation and post-delivery review.
• Define project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate and align stakeholders across Business, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Actuarial, and IT functions.
• Track project risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones. Regulatory Analysis & Translation
• Analyze new and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Translate regulations into actionable business and technical requirements.
• Assess impacts on products, processes, systems, and customer journeys.
• Develop implementation roadmaps and mitigation strategies. Product & Process Adaptation
• Support product and business teams in adapting life insurance offerings to regulatory changes.
• Ensure customer documentation, disclosures, and processes remain compliant.
• Contribute to Product Oversight & Governance (POG) initiatives and controls. Risk, Compliance & Governance
• Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to validate project scope and deliverables.
• Monitor regulatory deadlines and implementation progress.
• Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and governance committees. Stakeholder Management & Reporting
• Provide regular project updates to senior management.
• Facilitate decision-making across cross-functional teams.
• Drive change adoption and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout project execution. Expected Deliverables

• Post-implementation reviews and lessons learned Must-Have Requirements Experience & Expertise
• Extensive experience managing regulatory projects within Life Insurance.
• Proven track record delivering complex regulatory initiatives on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of Belgian and European regulatory frameworks, including:
• Solvency II
• IDD
• ESG regulations
• AML requirements
• FSMA-related frameworks
• NBB-related frameworks
• Experience performing regulatory impact assessments and translating regulations into concrete business and IT requirements.
• Strong project management background, covering end-to-end delivery. Stakeholder Management
• Expert-level stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive change across multiple departments.
• Experience working with Business, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Actuarial, and IT stakeholders. Methodologies
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
• PMP, Prince2, Agile certifications are considered a plus. Languages
• Fluent French
• Professional English
